DOJ Pathways Internship Program Bureau of Prisons Student Trainee (Education Student Trainee)
This position is part of the Pathways Internship Program and is located at the Central Office of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The incumbent will observe and assist the supervising Education staff in organizing files, researching vendors/partnerships/reentry service providers/programs, compiling reports for further evaluations, developing graphs/tables of statistical data, making calls and collecting data, assembling training materials, assisting with staff visits, and e-mailing general information. Incumbent will receive on-the-job training of instructor work. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following:
Applicants must be current students pursuing a degree or certificate in a qualifying educational institution with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher AND maintain at least a half time or full time course load. AND Completion of four (4) academic years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.This position has a basic educational requirement. Individuals applying for this position must be enrolled in a degree program directly related to the position. In order to be eligible for conversion into the competitive service, the incumbent must meet the degree requirements, as governed by the Office of Personnel Management, for this position. NOTE:

Recognition of Foreign QualificationsCredit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities. Your eligibility for consideration will be based on your responses to the questions in the application.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
